The African Outdoor Fanatics was established in 2021, by a group of friends with a shared passion for overlanding trips in Southern Africa. We offer unique safari experiences with tours and safaris that combine well-known safari areas with off-the-beaten-track destinations, creating adventure-filled itineraries. Expert guides, amazing destinations, delicious camp cooking, and comfort are our key service offerings. Jasper Vlok
Co-Founder & Director
Jasper developed a lifelong love for Africa’s wilderness during childhood holidays in Kruger National Park. Upon completing his tertiary education he pursued a career as a safari guide, guiding clients on safaris across South Africa. Jasper has a keen interest in wildlife and landscape photography and has traveled to various Southern African destinations with camera in hand, his favourite being the Okavango Delta. In 2021 Jasper founded the African Outdoor Fanatics, with the goal of sharing adventure-filled experiences with fellow African adventure lovers.
Janes Brits
Co-Founder & Director
A career in civil engineering allowed Janes to spend many years working on projects in Southern Africa, but in his free time, he sets out on the road to explore Africa’s lesser-known destinations. As a seasoned overlander and safari-goer, Janes has a deep understanding of the diverse landscapes and cultures of Southern Africa. Through The African Outdoor Fanatics, he wants to share his knowledge and passion with others and invites you to join him on our journeys.
